I made it from February 2009 to March 2009. It is Tamiya’s Header.

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 BOX PACKAGEThe Hetzer’s armament is the 48 calibers 7.5cm antitank gun in a small vehicle based on the body of the 38(t) light tank. This kit was released about one and a half years ago.

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 MAKINGThe chassis is the same as 38(t), and there are only eight big wheels.

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 MAKINGI installed the partial link caterpillar. Since loosening can be easily expressed, I like these recent Tamiya styles very much.

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 MAKINGIs it because the inside is narrow? It is a feature that the gun shifts from the central line. There are spare caterpillars on the upper surface and the back.

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 MAKINGParts are little and assembled easily; it’s enough for this kit for only one holiday.

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 MAKINGThe atmosphere changed entirely, only installed side armor.

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 PAINTINGThe basic painting was dark green. It seems to be still long ahead since I challenge ambush camouflage.

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 PAINTINGI thought that produced a large amount of masking tape by the punched hole opening; put them like a photo…
However… It is too troublesome.

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 PAINTINGAfter all, I decided to go ahead without worrying if there was a somewhat irregular brush.

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 PAINTINGI managed to do the essential painting completion and placed the figure. Maybe it went well with hand-written camouflage painting.

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 FINISHED PHOTOThis German Tank Destroyer used the body of 38(t). It is a vehicle in haste developed since the factory of Sturmgeschutz III was destroyed by the bombing by Allied Forces.

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 FINISHED PHOTOThis light tank is equipped with a 7.5cm antitank gun. The performance was good, so it played a part in the German defense till the end of the war in the summer of 1944.

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 FINISHED PHOTOCamouflage painting was difficult.

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 FINISHED PHOTOThe tank soldier uniform was not black. I suppose their uniform color was usually field gray.

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 FINISHED PHOTOIt seems narrow inside to operate by four crew. It is likely not to have been discovered easily by the enemy since the height is low.

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 FINISHED PHOTOCamouflage paint is by brush painting. To draw triangular and square dots, perseverance is required. It’s essential to adjust the density of paints so the paints of a moderate density might be good drawing with one stroke.

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 FINISHED PHOTOI painted the trank rollers separately, one is dark green, and the other is red-brown. But weathering trial and error, all appearances are the same now…

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 FINISHED PHOTOThe color painting description of this kit was useful. The painting example was Strumgeschutz-Abteilung 1708, 708. Volks-Grenadier-Division. It was the forces that deployed to Halloville, France, in 1944.

HETZER JAGDPANTHER 38(t) TAMIYA 1/35 FINISHED PHOTOThe sloped armor is peculiar but nice looking. Ambush camouflage was the first time for me, and it was enjoyable.

    Excellent work!
I am still doubting whether to buy a kit from Italeri or Tamiya. Unfortunately Italeri only has the “late” version. so it’s probably going to be the Tamiya with similar “ambush scheme” 😉

Thank you for your comment. It’s a Hetzer that I made a long time ago. I hope it will be helpful for your modeling. This Tamiya kit shows the slack of the track well, but it’s regrettable to hide it with the side armor. It’s cool to show the slack.
