This Dragon Models Kettenkrad box art seems like he’s living the life! I thought that ordinary male and female figures would be included, but only one old-molded German soldier figure is included when opening the box. Isn’t that a bit of a scam?
In the meantime, when watching the animation “Made in Abyss” is a personal favorite, Because the animation called “Girls’ Last Tour” was recommended, and I watched it. There are many scenes in which Kettenkrad comes out of this animation. That reminds me, I bought Kettenkrad a while ago and started making it.
Though I cannot see it after I wear a cover on it, a small engine is in this kit.
Perhaps the parts are outdated, except that the caterpillar has been changed to a rubber named Dragon Styrene. Parts matching is not good, anyway, and hardly succeeds in becoming a shape.
I’ll make it like a Kettenkrad that appears in the “Girls’ Last Tour” animation. Add the rack on the left, and place a drum, luggage, bottles, etc. Although it seems that the setting of this story slightly extends the total length of the body, I’ll ignore it.
I am watching a new work of my favorite, “Legend of the Galactic Heroes,” and “Die Neue These.” The graphics are without complaint. Almost all the main characters are changing to handsome is a bit peculiar, but it is pretty funny. A battleship and a fighter aircraft are so cool! Why is the collar of Colonel Siegfried Kircheis like the Imperial Japanese Army? Reinhard is the ultimate of his sister’s boy and has a somewhat gay atmosphere, as usual. Handsome Yang Wen-li is funny, but am I getting used to this? Attenborough’s scene is a change to Rao, and some of the scenes may be omitted. But this is loyal to the original novel. I like Attenborough, but it is the same as a novel and may appear later. I’ve wanted to see the old works of “Legend of the Galactic Heroes” again, but what I had with old VHS tapes has already gone somewhere. Anyway, I am looking forward to the next story.

The front wheel is like a motorcycle. I only made a German military motorcycle a couple of years ago. The bike kit was tricky around the handle.
There is an engine at the rear of the driver’s seat and a net-like ventilation hole at the top. This is a rectangular slit in an animation set, but ignored here. However, I padded extra holes on both sides with putty.
The drum is fixed with two belts.
I attached a shovel to the right side.

I want to make the man and woman in this box art, but those figures are not included in this package. So I try to build the animation characters Chito and Yuuri. However, starting with my skill is a bit reckless as I usually do not make such figures at all. I put putty on the figures of the surplus sitting posture; I suck at this. It is entirely useless; when I think about it, this physique is fundamentally different.
First of all, are Chito and Yuuri about junior high school students or high school students? I think it is as tiny as two times compared to a general German figure. And since they have no shoulder width, I made a pose appropriately with the runner.
I made them while adjusting the pose to fit on the Kettenkrad using a heat pen. The helmets could not be used because the British and German armies were too real. It takes time and effort to handmade all from the runner. It is pretty funny working forming with a heat pen that does not usually do.
I painted it dark yellow for the animation.

Yuri has a curly blond and needs so much work. I polished the face a bit more and made it smooth. I added hair with epoxy putty.
For the time being, I paint figures and Kettenkrad. The color of accessories is a rough sense, but there may be no significant difference.
I cut and pasted the excess decal on hand, touched it with a brush, and added a body number like the “Girls’ Last Tour” version. This unique font is difficult. Yuri is armed with a rifle. I have gotten one from another kit.
Kettenkrad is a German military vehicle of WWII, but since it comes out quite often at “Girls’ Last Tour,” I tried to make it similar to this animation. Also, I made figures for Chito and Yuuri. The completeness of the figure is not very high.
It’s a cartoon film set, so I thought I made it casually, but it isn’t very easy. As usual, I want to do the weathering effect.
The side rack is made by cutting and, pasting, pulling cart parts.
The description of this anime is a little, just one minute before the destruction of the human race. It’s like a post-apocalypse road movie. The number of characters is relatively small, and there is nothing like a natural green, river, etc. It is the content that two girls wander in ruins all the time.
There seems to be a lot of criticism of the contents, but it is pretty funny if you think it is not an animation for logicality but a poem. Although it cannot be helped if you cannot bear with it the second episode, the story is short, so I recommend you watch it until the end. There is not much rationality in the behavior of the character. I like it personally. If two characters are not girls but men and women, I think it’s like Genesis, not the world’s end.
There is a decal for a meter, and a small part can be reproduced.
Are Chito’s face and eye positioned a little too far apart from the original?
Yuuri’s face is more complicated, such as eye shape, than Chito’s. Finer hand painting requires perseverance. I think that it is somewhat similar. If I have a commercially available kit, I probably will buy that. If the face is a decal, the burden will be reduced considerably, and the finish will be good. I’m thinking about that, and it seems to be released by Platz in June. It’s relatively expensive, but it’s going to be pretty good. It is too tough to make them from plastic runners.
Sometimes making figures from runners using the heat pen is funny and exciting. I prefer to assemble a ready-made plastic kit.
The 1/35th scale Tamiya’s Kettenkrad is currently out of stock and sold at extremely high prices. But if you make it, it would be better to make Tamiya’s 1/48 scale. It is within 1,000 yen (around USD10.00)and can be enjoyed cheaply. This time, I happened to make a Dragon kit, but this is not such a new kit. Perfection may be higher than Tamiya because of the belt caterpillar’s quality and the engine’s reproduction, etc. It is fun to try making one for AFV fans because it is rare and tiny among half-tracks.
