It is a German tank crew made of resin. I finished the oil painting. I built it in June 2015.
Two armored division officers were wearing winter uniforms. This is the Alpine tank crew with excellent shape and sharp mold. All the time, I kept on hand this Alpine figure, but that’s no progress skill at all; I’ll try to finish now.
This resin figure’s muffler and binoculars are sharply molded.
The other tank crew is wearing a thick and soft warm mouton jacket.
Wow! Good looks even before painting.
Here I choose the winter hat Ushanka type matching the mouton jacket. Both faces are unnaturally too handsome, like movie stars.

This time I continue to try oil painting. It isn’t easy to decide the color of the fur jacket. I wonder if this color tone is suitable.

It is the LAH tank crew of Alpine Miniatures. LAH is German Waffen S.S. Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler Division in WWII. He is a veteran officer awarded the 1st class iron cross on his neck.
I finished with all the oil painting. Both of them are in heavy warm clothing and look very warm.
The figure is acceptable to mold, but the sample photo does not cover everything in detail. I need to care not to overlook the fine mold, such as the mark on the sleeves and rank insignia on their collar. We should refer to other documents or photos for the color used.
It is somewhat like the posing of a fashion magazine. I painted shadows and mud dirt on his pants.
I set them beside the King Tiger, which I had made before. The crew’s expression is fearless and handsome, matched by the strong tank. Because they were in a cold place, I painted their faces a little bit pale finished.
I like the Alpine Miniature figure as the mold is sharp and good looking faces.
