T-72B Mod. 1990 Russian Main Battle Tank Trumpeter 1/35

I moved the other day and have just finished carrying my luggage. I found a T-72 in my kit box that I wanted to make beforehand. It is a kit of parts with a huge number and a fairly high price.

Since I got rid of my desk, I have worked sitting on the floor. This is not a good idea at all. I think a lower back probably becomes terrible. Because the desk arrives next week anyway, I wouldn’t say I like working in this state anymore.

I do not like to paint yet. Because the whole thing is not tidy, although battleships and military figures are underworking, I think it probably will not go well without arranging the workspace.

Three sheets of photo-etched parts were included.

Glue the tiny photo-etched parts 15 pieces on each side. Because it is troublesome, I think such a place is good in one shot mold of plastic.

Now that the assembly of the lower part of the body is complete, it seems that the mold at the bottom of the tank is reproduced well. I can feel the passion of the manufacturer.

A rabbit named Caesar moved with me. Since a living body can’t carry by a mover, I went to take the room key at the apartment management office in the morning; I brought a rabbit to a new house. He is 11 years old. It was 100 years old when it converted to human. He looks a little different from his youth. Is it because we’re usually careful not to give stress?

My wife says he wants to keep a cat, too. I am also eager for a life with a cat. I wonder if a cat can do well with my rabbit. Even though I take care of rabbits all by themselves, it is visible to me that it is probably my troublesome task to keep a cat. My wife’s role is to cut a rabbit and a cat. It seems that it would not be stressful for Caesar to keep a cat from a kitten. Cats are eating small things, so I am worried that compatibility with modeling life is terrible.

Although a compact desk ordered to work arrives within a few days, I want another desk of 60cm deep length Japanese cypress wood. It is the beginning of April to reach after I check it. Since it will be manufactured after ordering, I think one month’s waiting may be early. At this time, there may be a lot of desk demand for people who begin（ a new life. Currently, placing a keyboard on a fishing cooler box is a miserable life, so it’s long to wait one month. However, I am afraid of myself getting used to it pretty much for three days.

Since the working desk arrived, it has been assembled immediately and used. After all, the detailed work will not continue without a proper desk. I think it is a bit small, if I use a big desk, I will put unnecessary things on the desk, so this is OK for a while. If there are nippers, files, and glue, the work proceeds. After a few weeks, I will place a slightly larger desk for the PC on the left to increase the space.

For the moment, the fitting of the parts is perfect.

Photo-etched parts are used abundantly in the rear engine grill.

This kit has a lot of parts. I think that 30% have not been assembled yet. The log parts are made of vinyl-like material and bend.

I’ll start to assemble the T-72B caterpillar. I think this is the caterpillar type also used in T-90.

This isn’t easy to separate all parts of the caterpillar from the runner. It may take more time than the work of connecting tracks and winding them on the wheels.

A jig is attached to Trumpeter T-72. I did not use it because I thought it would be faster and more accurate to work with double-sided tape, as usual. But Trumpeter is thinking about the modeler and is grateful.

Well, one side winding is over.

The work of a joint caterpillar takes time; it is a little disappointing in vehicles with many parts which can not be seen with the side fender now. Once I get used to it, it’s easy to assemble, so it’s not bad work.

Ummm, I want a desk for the PC to arrive quickly. I have to wait for it for about three weeks. I feel a little remorse that it is not good to dispose of things casually. I thought minimalism or Kondo was good, and I disposed of many things in moving. But, by chance, I read a book by Kakuo Shimada, The story of a Japanese soldier who lived in the New Guinea jungle for ten years after WWII. I think that the English translation is not done, but this is a great book.

The left and right fenders are three-dimensional with overlapping parts.

It adhered to the tank body safely. In this area, it is better to do a trial assembly carefully.

The fuel tank pipe is a vinyl pipe. Positioning is not possible according to the instructions. Anyway, I fixed it.

Attach the copper wire rope, and the chassis is complete.

I tried to build the turret lightly. The turret looks large with various parts. It’s pretty compact.

This turret also required to paste of many round small photo-etched parts. When I saw the manual, I thought it would take time. It’s bothersome when I start pasting, but it’s not hard to work.

I have pasted small photo-etched parts on the front and back of the turret hatch.

The central gun barrel base part is the same as the log part, with some elasticity, like vinyl. This would be fit for the turret.

I have purchased a reasonably large beaded cushion and roll of Yogibo. I was wondering if I would buy it for about two weeks, after all, I needed a place to relax. The impression of trying to sit in the showroom the other day was good, so it should probably be good to use. I am looking forward to receiving the cushion.

The extended assembly process was finally completed. Is it cool enough without painting?

I made my painting booth a little more elaborate in the old days. It’s a paint booth, but with the ordinary ventilator, I decided to change an aluminum duct for something new. This ventilation fan has exhaust power and is easy and convenient.

I tried a little review. The rear storage was inclined to the back; I refixed it to parallel. I think it’s leaning during bond fixing. Those racks should be parallel to the ground, I suppose.

The back of the hatch specified the P-parts in the instruction manual, but there is no runner of P-parts anywhere… Make additional parts appropriately and attach them.

In this way, airbrush paint dust is discharged. It’s like a simple self-made paint booth. It was 50cm from the window, so a long duct was unnecessary.

Inside the turret are attached some parts of mechanical detail like a sight. I can see it when I open the hatch.

I found something useful. It is called Summitech GB-F-06, which is oil-resistant and thinner resistant. Until now, I used thin nitrile rubber gloves for cleaning after painting. As it was torn immediately with thinner, with this glove, it looks like no problem at all.

Looking closely, there is a biohazard-like mark, and it’s a sense of confidence.

There is no point in explaining painting so much. Recently, gradient paint and light weathering have been the main processes.

I used Mr. Color’s khaki green for the primary paint.

Perhaps the side fenders are made of rubber. It looks better than dark green, so I painted it gray again.

Yogibo’s cushion does not reach. It does not move quickly from the relay point of the courier service. I want to use Yogibo quickly.

T-72 is the main battle tank of the Russian army and has been in various improvements since being developed and produced in the early 1970s.

The T-72B has enhanced armor and additional composite armor on the front. It has a laser-guided anti-tank missile launch function. T-72BV equipped the Explosive Reactive Armour, and defensive power was strengthened.

The T-72 series has been in operation in countless countries and has a lot of practical experience. There is a vulnerability that it is easy to detonate due to the ammunition layout, but many countries still use it in active duty.

It is counted as one of the superior main tanks of strong firepower by 125mm smoothbore and the strengthening of the defense power by low height and extra armor.

In the painting instruction, paint the wheel of the tire white. Maybe it’s a parade spec? The marking may also be related to it. I want to do some weathering to the tank; it was completed without the decoration painting.

Recently, I felt that I used to frequently make camouflage paint with buffs and blacks in the current Russian military vehicles, so I thought it was not bad to finish it with dark green only once in a while.

I think the modeler who likes the plastic model assembly very much loves this kit. The modeler who prefers painting is not easy to assemble, so it seems to be frustrating on the way. It was a little hard for me to build. When completed, the degree of reproduction of the form is good. There is a sense of accomplishment.
