It is a fighter pilot of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Standing posture wearing a life jacket on flight clothes. It is a kit that you can feel free to build and paint. It is not so complicated a pose to paint. It is recommended for beginners. I put my hand on a big scale because the figure painting does not get well easily.
The parts are small and big! The backside is hollow and looks like a monaka (bean‐jam‐filled wafers of Japanese confectionery).
Assembly is instantaneously completed.
Hey, Hey, I had a bad feeling… Please laugh.

By the way, the pose of the box art of this kit, Japan ace pilot, is a picture posing by Mr. Saburo Sakai. However, the face of the actual kit is different from this photo. Mr. Saburo Sakai is awesome. It was 28 aircraft in the official record, actually more shots down, maybe. Because it is a craftsman temperament and not an air fight by a team, I have read that his evaluation from colleagues was not so good, but he is still a pilot with a sense of skill. It is fantastic, even just fought until the end of WWII to be active in the China Incident.
The saber is shiny black and gold, and the handle part is dark brown. The mold is fine when it comes to the 1/16 scale.
Although this seal is smooth on the surface and it is not likely to deteriorate, I coated it with matte clear.
It looks like the goggles were just on the cap. Well, let’s say that the string of the goggle is made of the same material as the pilot cap and is difficult to distinguish.
I tried to build 1/16 as a practice for face painting of the 1/35 figure. But as long as the scale is different, it is different. The 1/16 scale is easy to paint and enjoyable. The painting of the face is comparatively good.
