I made it from November 2008 to January 2009.
This is the new kit released from Tamiya this summer. The old one is also a nice kit with four figures of the Afrika Corps.

The assembly process is early through the parting line, and removing the trank roller was troublesome for the Tamiya kit.
The caterpillar’s quality increased much more than the belt one. As in the photo, loose expression is good.

I’ll bury the gap between the increased armor and the turret with putty.
All assembly was completed.

Since the clear parts were not included in the Tamiya kit, I made it by myself. I hollowed the headlight space, painted it inside silver, and filled the transparent epoxy adhesive. Attached is the wire rope on the front. The caterpillar holders were made from the sliced small plastic panel.
It’s a photo-etched muffler cover.

The basic painting was completed. I mixed white a little with German gray.

Since only the machine gun had been equipped with the Panzerkampfwagen I, it was initially for training. German army needed to develop a valuable tank for combat immediately. Then, having been developed in this Panzerkampfwagen II. This tank’s maximal speed was 40km per hour, and its power was 140hp.
This tank is equipped with a 55 caliber 2cm machine gun and a 7.92mm machine gun MG34 by one, and the firepower was significantly increased compared to a typical tank. However, they understood it was dissatisfied with an armor of an initial II tank in the battle against Poland, and the increased armor was given as the A-C type of this kit.
Marking is the 36th regiment’s 4th armored division tank in the French campaign. The 4th armored division entered the campaign of Poland, and they fought in one place after another with Barbarossa, load to Moscow, and Kursk.
I did the weathering paint the chassis dirty with a bright pastel image of European soil.
The lower side of the body was painted dust color, and the upper surface was painted with a pastel-like white as the stone rubble.
Only here, the jack stand is too beautiful as a new one.
I think it is good to make a figure with the tank since everybody understands the size of the tank in that sense. Is the failure of the dust on the black tank uniform too much?
I think that this photograph is the most beautiful this time.
When I see the figure from this distance, it is considered genuine; the shoulder strap and the collar badge were the Tamiya decal set.
