Jagdtiger Takom 1/35

Now I’m going to make Jagdtiger from Takom. I’ve been making German tanks a lot, so I thought I’d made a Jagdtiger, but I haven’t made one yet. I may have made it when I was a child. It looks big and strong, so I’m looking forward to finishing it. I wonder what number of items this is from Takom. I think Tamiya released the early version, so let’s make it later this time. But I don’t understand the difference.

It comes with an amazing underbody jig. It has a lot of holes so that we can glue the shaft of the rolling wheel in a straight line, so we can decide the position. This is helpful.

The wheel is being assembled. The rolling wheel is attached in large quantities so that it folds over, so start with the parts in the back. I wonder if this big jig is also useful because it loosens the tracks.

Even if there are few parts, they can be made with precision. Is it a Tamiya-like concept? When I bought it, the price of the AFV kit had already increased in general, but I remember this kit was quite reasonable. I thought it would continue at this price range, but unfortunately, it didn’t happen. This line was very welcome because I didn’t need the interior, but the boom in this world was internal reproduction.

I also watched Top Gun Maverick daily following the previous movie. I liked the F/A-18 of the main aircraft in this movie. I was surprised to see enemy aircraft such as Sukhoi 57 and Hind attack helicopters. As I thought I wanted to see an F-14 in Top Gun, it appeared near the end, so I’m very satisfied. The retired F-14s may be antiques, but their large size and variable-wing shape make them very attractive. They didn’t list the actual name of the enemy, but after all, it was Iran. Anyone can tell. The training scene is also interesting because it expresses well the harshness that the pilot will experience. Even though Tom Cruise is quite old, he’s still very active with young people. This age, this physical ability! He probably wanted to show off. I predicted it, but I knew he would be the commander in the end. It was the best sequel to the famous entertainment movie in film history!

In this kit, it is partially connected. It doesn’t take a lot of work, but I personally don’t like this pattern. As expected, one track is big.

It is being assembled using a jig. This method may vary depending on the modeler. The same old way of making tanks is not very adaptable to the new way. In the end, I prefer to line them all up, pour glue on them, and then roll them around.

The loosening of the tracks is adjusted by putting tissues in between them.

The other one is assembled like this without using a jig. The parts themselves fit well and the mold is sharp, which makes it very nice.

It’s a shock that Ohtani’s interpreter was suddenly fired. Someone wrote funny things playing off the title of a gambling comic. It’s like the gambling addiction anime Kaiji and Kakegurui. I laughed a little. Gambling addiction is one of the most difficult addictions to cure, along with alcohol addiction. Personally, the money sense of 5 million is a different world. However, if you play a game called Momotaro Dentetsu, even 10 billion yen is only about pocket money. It’s just in the game. This news will destroy the celebratory atmosphere in his marriage. I think the track assembly succeeded somehow.

Regarding the rear armor, the earlier model has a jack and a jack base, whereas the later model does not have them and instead has a large traction device or something between the muffler covers.

I’m attaching various parts to the tank body. The spare caterpillar was fully attached to both the left and right sides, so there were a lot of hooks and parts, making it difficult. I was impressed that the clamp of the OVM was reproduced properly with injection parts.

A kit that includes an etched mesh from the beginning would be greatly appreciated. It takes a lot of money and effort to get separate parts. The metal parts fit the body well and were assembled without stress.

The health damage of red yeast rice is causing a sensation in Japan. Inaba, a popular cat food called Chao Churu, said in a statement, “We have nothing to do with this.” I’ll be worried if the ingredients are red yeast rice. Even if it’s not, cats have weak kidneys by default. I give Churu as a reward for his patience when I cut his nails. It is the armor plate at the back of the battle room. It must be a rear hatch for escape and for loading shells. The thickness of the armor plate is also interesting.

The hatch was closed, however the locking mechanism was reproduced on the inside.

The large parts on the front of the tank body are hard to fit. It might be the only difficulty with this kit. I scraped from the inside, grated the parts, and managed to glue them together. Some gaps are recovered with putty.

The building is finished for now. It looks like it was just rolled out from the factory because it has all the spare tracks and side skirts. The tank body is big but easy to assemble.

When I look closely, I think the surface of the armor plate is rough and reproduces the texture of rolled armor. Because of the high toughness of rolled armor, it does not crack when hit by high kinetic energy shells, and if the armor is thick enough, it will receive the shells.

Anti-aircraft guns are installed at the rear of the tank. This installation position seems to be different between the earlier type and the later type. It is tough to use machine guns against fighters without bulletproof boards. But this is probably the most convenient place because they can get out right from the rear hatch.

It is very disappointing that the construction of the linear bullet train does not go as planned in Japan. I think the majority of the opinion is that the linear bullet train, which can be said to be in the national interest of the whole country, should be opened as soon as possible. Some people think that the construction cannot be carried out due to the prefectural governor of the opening section and the influence of China, which controls the area behind the scenes. On the other hand, Japan has an extremely low birthrate and an aging population, so it seems that the working-age population will be 60% of the current level by 2065. But since the population may recover in a V shape again, I want the construction to proceed.

The assembly was completed, so I coated it with black. This time, the tracks are large, so I think it might be a little less burdensome to brush if I make use of this black.

German tanks of the late World War II had a large area of dark green. So the rolling wheel is dark yellow, but the upper part of the tank is painted from dark green.

I blew the basic three colors of German camouflage several times alternately, and it looked like this. There are still small parts of paint left.

This time, the number of decals is so small. The decals that came with this kit were of good quality and adhered well to the body.

I was surprised to read that it was a catchy title because it was easier to apply for euthanasia than to apply for welfare in Canada. From palliative care to active euthanasia, there seems to be no break. This year, euthanasia for reasons of mental disorder or suffering will be allowed. I envy Canada for its freedom, and I think we should discuss the abnormality of life-sustaining medical treatment in Japan. But it is not good to recommend euthanasia for organ transplantation. I’m not sure what the best way is. If we go on like this, it’s going to be like the bad gene elimination method in the novel “Legend of the Galactic Heroes”. There was a scene in the movie where they were euthanized one after another in a euthanasia facility in “Soylent Green”. Back in the day, when I read science fiction, I thought Martian immigrants and flying cars and time leaps would become reality. In reality, easy euthanasia, World War III, and dystopian science fiction are closer to reality and more frightening.

The Jagdtiger is completed. The barrel is long and the body is very big. It looks pretty strong.

The Jagdtiger extended the body of the Tiger tank and mounted on top of it a huge 128 mm gun which was to be mounted on a super heavy tank Mouse as a fixed gun. At the time, the 128 mm gun was said to be capable of defeating any Allied tank.

To achieve tremendous firepower and defense, the weight of the AFV was more than 70 tons, which put a heavy burden on each power section, and the reliability and fuel efficiency of the tank itself were not good. Because of its weight, the burden on the undercarriage was so severe that engine and transmission brake failures occurred frequently. Strong weapons and useful weapons are another story.

Just before the end of the war, there were few excellent tank crews and the fuel supply situation was bad, so it seems that they could not perform as well as the catalog spec.

It was deployed only to the 653rd Heavy Tank Destroyer Battalion and the 512th Heavy Tank Destroyer Battalion and was also used by the famous tank soldier, Lt. Otto Karius.

This time the marking is for the 512th Heavy Tank Destroyer Battalion. It was deployed in Germany in April 1945, so it was just before the surrender of Germany. This kit had more examples of paint and decals from the earlier type. There are not many options to choose a decal for a later type.

Washing and chipping made the tanks look like they were on the battlefield. Then it might have been better to remove one of the fenders. With the side armor, it’s a pity that I can’t see the loose expression of the tracks I worked so hard for.

I was worried at first that it would assemble well with the unusual jig for assembling the tracks, but apart from attaching the front armor plate, it assembles smoothly. I enjoyed it very much.

I used Yogibo’s bead cushion for five years, and it might have held up well in a cat owner’s house. I used a big normal cushion and a big roll. I’ve become a pretty lazy human being. However, after repeated violent attacks by a cat daily, the internal partition was finally damaged and a bad substance began to leak out. I decided to get rid of it all together because it wouldn’t be good if it got into my beloved cat’s body. I’m going to use a wooden sitting chair which has been a supporting role for a low table. I think it is quite comfortable if the interior is united in wood. If I use bead cushions all the time, my lower back will be strained and my body may get distorted, so it’s the right time to make some lifestyle changes. I wanted to use a bead cushion once, so I was fully satisfied.
