I made a military figure for a change. I’ve bought quite a few items when the yen was strong. I don’t need much storage space just for small military figures. I don’t make a lot of figures these days because they don’t contribute much space to break up the pile. Before I knew it, I had 220 boxes of plastic model kits. I made a lot of them and reduced them. I have recently been making modern tanks, heavy tanks of WWII, and modern aircraft, hoping to start with the big box kits before it’s too late. After about ten more, no more is left to stick out of the closet and roll on the floor. It’s a small house and I like to move, so even this is a lot.
This Evolution Miniatures resin figure is so good that the fine paint can’t keep up. The wristwatch is also molded, which is amazing. The helmet chin strap was glued from an old Dragon kit etched piece with a thin band that looked like it. As expected, there is no rifle sling, so I attached it myself. The equipment seemed to fit the body in one piece, I thought the quality of this resin figure was high.
Alpine US tank crew. The neck straps of the binoculars and the fine molds are added so there is no need for additional work.
The Waffen SS officer of the Dragon. It was made before, but the head was replaced with a resin, and decals were attached. Clothes are worn out and dirty in the style of the end of World War II. Is the feeling of fighting in the city’s rubble the same as in the current war in Ukraine?
A female Taiwanese military soldier of Torifactory is painted in the style of a Japanese Self-Defense Force officer. I want to have elegant features, but it’s difficult. The area of the face is too small, even though this is recommended for a woman with a small face. If her lips were too big, I thought it might be vulgar, so I didn’t draw too big. There’s another slightly different pose, so let’s paint it the same way next time.
