A happy New Year, everyone!! Thank you very much for your visit and sent me emails last year. I wish you happy modeling life.
Currently, I’m building the Master Box figure of the Imperial Japanese infantries. A box package picture is splendid.
This kit includes six decals of “Shusseiki” [going to the front flag (the flag on which a going to the front person is congratulated, and the flag which wishes the safe return of a going to the front person)]. The handwriting style flag is a significant accent of this kit.
It is a very powerful facial expression. Looks like Japanese. The figure’s expression is rich, and I admired that the injection kit has this quality.
It is the soldier who receives a shooting and leans back.
I can have a good feeling about the very detailed molding. I want to make it with a soul.
This kit was released in 2008. When it was being made earlier, the world was filled with countless plastic models, but encounters with each kit are what I want to cherish.

The officer is a pose of the charges with a saber.
It is the preparations for painting and fixing a form of their weapons.
I attached the strap to their rifles.

I changed the four soldiers’ khaki military uniforms and delicately changed a hue. Various fading colors, such as khaki brown, khaki green, etc. As for the military uniform of Japanese Imperial Marines, a little greenish seemed appropriate. However, since a military uniform had changed to almost the same as an imperial army from the middle of the war, I cannot say it isn’t very accurate.
I choose the part of the shell box of the German army. And I am cutting it out like this photo.
The Sable was cut roughly. Try to taper a bit more. The guard of the Sable is also troublesome.
I’ll use two “Shusseiki.” These tissue paper sheets were infiltrated after it’s dry. I’ll attach the decals.

Tarawa is the capital of the Republic of Kiribati now. Quite a distance from Guadalcanal, Guam, and Rabaul.
During WWII, Tarawa island was an important strategic point as its located between Hawaii and Fiji. It is a small island in the Central Pacific. From the 20th to the 23rd of November 1943, a fierce battle was carried out between the Japanese Imperial Marines and the US Marines.
Japanese troops were 4,800, and U.S. forces were 35,000. The attacking side is the US Marines. It was a good fight, but the Japanese army was destroyed in vain. Japan’s side killed in action is said to be 4,713 people. The U.S. military is around 1,000. The killed percentage of the Japanese side is 98%. It’s an abnormal incident.
A local unit of the Japanese military ordered them to choose death rather than be a prisoner. So even if they had no ammunition and food, they dared to charge only with a bayonet. The injured soldiers were given grenades and chose self-determination. Almost all Japanese soldiers tend to be finally KIA.
The U.S. Army thoroughly cleaned up the Japanese military to avoid getting caught in the berserk banzai charges.
I don’t want to write the end of the Japanese military anymore. It’s too miserable. The number of resources U.S. forces focused on was dreadful.
A way of thinking about war is different, completing each other. I could understand the westerners had a brainwave of the movie “Planet of the Apes” by Imperial Japanese Forces.
The officer does not have a firearm except his pistol. He is with his saber.
Although I wanted to draw a red badge, the Imperial Marine insignia seems to be a dark-green and gold line.
The strong looking was increased with the glaring edge.
The Master Box figure’s face mold is sharp and easy to paint.
I think four of them have Asian looks.
It is exciting when I make them pose with the movement.
I gave this soldier a flag and became the characteristic figure.
The backside is probably plain white with a bit of a fade.
This expression seems to be very painful. I think this kit sculptor is outstanding.
I drew a star on some helmets and an anchor mark on the garrison cap (I think it is the mark of the naval brigade).
Of course, I do not think only this time, but I want to show respect for every fallen soldier on both sides.

your attention to detail is amazing, so glad to know you, sensei
Thank you very much!! I think the Military figure is a difficult category among the tanks, airplanes, battleships, figures. I have difficulty because I do not have an artistic sense. The face is the most important, isn’t it? I am glad you visit here every now and then.
