When I built a half-track several years ago, I took one of the soldiers from this kit. It is the soldier on the Italian front. I found the remains from the deep storage.
The Gen2 series has many small parts. There is an unusual color illustration painting guide. I think I’ll paint all three bodies in field gray this time, so I don’t refer to it now.
The mold of the boots and the neck are nicely detailed. I exchange the head with the third-party resin from the original.
Including a rifle strap, epaulets, and belt buckles of the etched parts is terrific. I hope these parts were attached as a standard of all figure kits.

This time, I made a strap from the plastic plate and a brass plate rather than the etched parts.
Firstly, I decided to paint in black in consideration of the shadow of the accessories and the wrinkle of the uniform.

It’s interesting to build this kind of relaxed pose. Because the rifle is separated, I fastened it with double-sided tape in case of gone somewhere. Because it was Italy, I have done weathering for a slightly dusty image. I should not have done too much.
The back of his boots is molded; it is good.
Three soldiers are like in this photo. Maybe they are standing next to some tanks; it’s looking very nice. It’s a rather satisfying finishing for me.

I am interested in models of tanks, airplanes, ships, military figures, I build them little by little when I feel like it. I am also interested in the history of war. My starting is Tamiya’s Military Miniature series in elementary school.
From elementary school through university students repeatedly suspend and restart my modeling, it’s about 25 years of this hobby’s history.
From February 2007 I was quietly doing a site called “Miniature-Arcadia”. It is being transferred to this blog with the same name from December 2016. My update pace is uneven, but please come to see me here occasionally.
