Though I was looking forward to a lucky bag of a FUJIMI model at New Year, there seem to be no sale schedules for New Year’s in 2016, and it’s very regrettable. Though stock increased, I wanted to buy it this year. The person concerned with FUJIMI seems to rest sufficiently during the New Year’s holiday.
I had stocked this Trumpeter German army artillery set for five years. The figure set price has been rising recently; how about the quality? I built the heavy howitzer the other day, so I have begun to make this one.
The mold is not precise carving. I improve a little if I sharpen it with a design knife here and there. Because the hollow around the eyes is emphasized for the face’s molding, I wonder if it is easy to paint.
These two crews take off a jacket and are in the pose of only wearing their shirts.
This kit includes the complicated parts connection figure.

I have had pain in my throat since yesterday, and both the nose and the eyes are terrible. Possibly does cedar pollen fly now? A person with hay fever may get a symptom early this year because Japan is warm. The filing of the howitzer shell takes time because there are many numbers, and the size is tiny.
Though the mass production of the shell was already experienced at the last German howitzer kit, a different number is attached to this kit… It can be said it is the equal volume as the figures. Interestingly, there are four kinds of shells.
Everybody except the commander does not attach a water bottle and a duffle bag, including the ammunition pouch. They seem to be light clothes not to disturb the operation of a gun.
When I built the Trumpeter’s modern American infantry, I had a dull mold impression. This is the soldier who holds a shell and his ears to protect himself from the air blast of the explosion. Maybe this manufacturer’s figure is like that quality. Although, I like the Trumpeter models of AFV and aircraft kits for the sharp mold.
I think I’ll draw the base of a shell having a gold belt. AFV Club package was like that, but I’m unsure whether this is the correct answer.
Now I’m attaching the string of a helmet and gap covering with the putty.

I blew the shells and helmets in the field gray.
Each figure is an active pose.
At first, I blew all colors with an airbrush, now drawing the intricate parts, and all the surface was repainted in oil painting.
This gloss effect was cleared after blowing matte paint. Now I’m painting a small belt and other badges.

An artillery crew set of the heavy howitzer and the accessory equipment has been completed. Unfortunately, it did not become the finish to my satisfaction.
It is a gunner of shell and gunpowder tube that puts it in the Chamber.
The loading stick looks very good.
Though the painting of the face is complex, the round seal of the cap is more complicated, which is small rounds of black, white, and red.
I felt it was fresh that the soldier who took off a jacket and a belt, it’s a rare motif.
I drew a little rusty on his helmet.
After all, the mold of the face is important. This is also good, but it isn’t easy to paint.
It is a soldier holding a canister. This figure’s parts component was a lot and tiny.
They worked on the ground, so I attached mud and dirt to the crew’s boots and pants.
There are a lot of mats to put the shells on. This is a soft material like the rubber caterpillar of Dragon Models. The mold is accurate.
There is a sense of reality in this way when I pile it up and display it.
This soldier will protect his ears from a blast. It seems to run away from a howitzer.
The figure is lightly dressed, wearing a work shirt and pants.
Though I do not fit this figure to the measurement device of the howitzer perfectly, I think it’s matched the howitzer.
This kit is hollow-eyed, and it isn’t easy to paint. It is easier to paint the Dragon Models figure. It is enough to make a black shadow.
He’s an artilleryman, so the shoulder insignia was trimmed in the red line.
Though I wanted to put the shadow, there is a place with just black dirt.
Even if an airbrush splayed a uniform, I had to retouch the details. It isn’t easy to make the same color in oil painting.
In my painting method, I feel that something is fundamentally wrong. I will think a little more.
When it’s joined with the heavy howitzer, it’s vivid.
The appearance will be better when I make the ground. But I’m not interested in a diorama for the moment. I like seeing the work of other modeler diorama works.
Change the layout a bit from a different angle.
The figures are needed much effort. Many accessories rather than a figure were made this time, so I paid attention not to lose a small part. Only a cannon is cool, but I think such one is also fascinating.
