I’m assembling the Guntrak used in the Iraq War, so try to make a set of US checkpoint infantry in Iraq. This is a Master Box kit. The title says US Checkpoint. I suppose they check suspicious vehicles and people.
I think the paint guide on the back of the Master Box has a different number. According to the Tamiya painting chart, XF-24 Dark Gray and XF-57 Buff, and the two colors are mixed in 1:1, the camouflage painting with three colors is good. For Vallejo, let’s choose 70868 Dark Green and 70976 Buff.
Unlike tank soldiers, infantry has a lot of equipment. But in the case of this kit, It is not so difficult to assemble. The parts for one person are like this.
I couldn’t find the MINIMI Light Machine Gun, so I was looking for various places, and it was lying under the bathroom scale. I was worried it would again be the same as the TBM-3 Avenger canopy. I should put the small parts in Tupperware and cover them with a lid. The only cause is my cat, Chai.

I finished making two figures. They look pretty good.
I preferred to paint it after assembling finished, but I couldn’t finish this figure with a target like a sniper. I will paint his face and glue his left arm.
Yesterday, I went to a nearby DIY store and bought a piece of wood to use as a painting handle. Goodbye to the old uneven wood pieces.

For the time being, the first color is buff.
I didn’t have Tamiya acrylic at first, so I was going to paint with Vallejo, but I stopped by Akihabara the other day, so I bought Tamiya dark gray and buff.
I finished painting three camouflage colors.
I have finished painting their faces. After using acrylic flat fresh, I used oil paint with a brush.
I made everyone carry weapons and added rifle straps.

Four figures are completed—a kit of 4 Modern US soldiers of the 2003 Iraq War.
Recent camouflage uniforms are used dot type, which is effective for field and street battles. It isn’t easy to draw it with a brush. Drawing the vertical and horizontal lines more precisely might have been better.
Shooter rifles are camouflaged.
I placed them on a gun truck I made recently. Humvees and M1 Abrams would be matched better. Each soldier has one M16A2 automatic rifle, one M16 A2 automatic rifle with a scope, one MINIMI light machine gun, and one soldier holding an M21 sniper rifle.
They’re aiming from behind the truck.
They are all equipped with body armor. It must be heavy and challenging, but it is a must-have item because it increases the probability of avoiding fatal injury. The knee pad is often seen in recent equipment. It is equipment like an American football player.
These US soldiers carry compact backpacks. I wonder if they don’t need such extensive equipment because not in March. Making these figures next to the current used vehicle would be interesting.
