The 101st Airborne Division is an elite unit of the United States Army called Screaming Eagle Nickname. In WWII, this division made a brave career in the Invasion of Normandy, Operation Market Garden, etc., and left its name in war history.
In the meantime, I had the opportunity to watch the TV drama “Band of Brothers” again, and I tried making these stock figures. Major Winters is excellent throughout the movie. After that, I was surprised to see the same actor in another drama, “Homeland.”
For the sitting position figure, I tried to put the cutting fishing weight in the space of the buttocks to improve stability.
I made a strap for small firearms such as Browning M1918 automatic rifle, M1 Garland rifle, and Thompson submachine gun. I am processing plastic paper.

Four US infantry figures are completed. They are small figures about 5 cm tall, and it is hard to make them finely. I used mainly enamel paints by brush.
1st Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the 101 airborne division “Bastogne.” I adjusted the German soldier’s resin heads to this US military infantry by scraping and adjusting the cap, helmets, etc. Since the face mold is more precise than the injection, this one should look better if fitted. The unit mark is a club. It is a kit of winter equipment under operation in Ardennes, so I suppose the marking also matches.
Because it combines the natural expression resin head with a natural standing pose, it is quite a good atmosphere.
First, I tried painting the brush with Mr. Color, but it became a rough coloration. I applied a rough airbrush with Mr. Color. Although I tried various undercoats on the way, it seems the enamel or oil paint finally meets my preference. Is it because the painting feeling of the smooth cover on the surface is quite excellent for me?
I used the class insignia and division mark from the internet and made my decals, which were not so good, and tried drawing with handwriting, and so on. In the end, I reattached them with a fine brush or drawing from the beginning. It does not go well; I think it is much better than nothing, just seeing something like marking somehow.
The Nikon D60 has become very old, so I want a new digital camera to change my mood. As I looked into it, the recent compact digital camera seems quite reasonable.
I tried to draw the light in his eyes. It seems too big overall. I think that a slightly vivid feeling was added to the expression. Drawing like a natural living person is very difficult, and I do not even think I can reach such a place; well, I guess they figure facial expressions have increased compared to a few years ago. It also relates to how much the human eye can be recognized the details with the naked eye. These days, digital cameras show up in excellent detail; it’s an excuse…
I think it is an old figure kit; the mold of the boots and others are pretty good.

Recently, I’ve been playing the old PS2 horror adventure game title Zero. The English title is “Fatal Frame.” I am too scared. Although I am in the air-conditioning room, not too cool, my whole body is getting goose pimples. Even though the platform is old, there are many masterpieces. This might have a bad influence on children… I am too scared to feel like playing to the end. Zombie games are better.

I am interested in models of tanks, airplanes, ships, military figures, I build them little by little when I feel like it. I am also interested in the history of war. My starting is Tamiya’s Military Miniature series in elementary school.
From elementary school through university students repeatedly suspend and restart my modeling, it’s about 25 years of this hobby’s history.
From February 2007 I was quietly doing a site called “Miniature-Arcadia”. It is being transferred to this blog with the same name from December 2016. My update pace is uneven, but please come to see me here occasionally.
