It is a premium edition of the Porsche Tiger with many photo-etched parts. I made it from February to March 2014.
Last time I made Zimmerit Coating pre-molded King Tiger. I want to make a coating myself after a long time, so I choose this Porsche Tiger. By the way, Last night, Figure skating at the 2014 Winter Olympics – Men’s singles were terrific; I had been looking till the morning after all.
I think the front part armor is a little challenging to assemble; it’s better to fix and paste immediately after trial assembly.
The sprocket wheels can be adjusted back and forward. It’s comparatively easy to connect caterpillar parts.
Slacking of the caterpillar is very good-looking. It is one of the considerable charms of Tiger tanks.
Lion Roar’s coating stamp appearance is bright but inaccurate as an industrial commodity. Slightly regrettable, although it is valid without a shaft. This stamp fitting with the shaft is not good, unmatched sized. It may be only my purchased one; I’m not sure.
(15-February-2014)
I failed. The left caterpillar position is too high, and it hits a fender. I cannot make it further unless I adjust it. The slack condition of the caterpillar is considerably pleasing, and my mind did not turn to that position.
(16-February-2014)
I corrected it as a sprocket wheel; the caterpillar was shifted downward somehow, and the fender is now fitting in. Part of the front caterpillar parts is removed once and attached again. These photo-etched parts are pretty good.
(18-February-2014)
Since the etched parts did not fit on the front armor plate well, I raised the height of this armor plate’s thickness with epoxy putty.
Zimmerit pre-molded kit is an easy and regular pattern. It looks good. But coating by myself is also good, where the coating peeling and unevenness emphasize handmade taste.
(Real tank Zimmerit was coated in the factory, I suppose.)

Gepackkasten (toolbox) fastener photo-etched parts assemble required quite delicate work. After Gepackkasten attached, I’m afraid I can’t see the reserve caterpillar, which is a good accent. It’s too small and my eyes hurt…
(22-February-2014)
This wire net etching is also required detailed work. I used instant glue.
I want to raise a telescope from a hatch; it’s opened. Somehow I can set up a figure on the left square hatch. For putting a figure, I felt it was slightly narrow.
I used the photo-etched parts where the appearance is better than plastic parts. The aluminum gun barrel is effective for a sharp straight impression.
I heard that the gun turret was turned under transportation, as in this photo.
In the photo from just beside the epoxy putty, which has overflowed into the lower side of the gun turret, it is not shaved exactly; the appearance is terrible, so I’ll remove them later.
Since I’m working while looking at slant angles, careful about the upper side but not the lower edge.
The last time I used the Hornet resin headset and I liked it. This time continues to use them. For the right tank crew, the sleeve interfered with the hatch when the hand was put on it. I adjust the sleeve shape. I tried to make the shape of the skull mark of the garrison cap.
This crew is relaxed posing, so having no cap. This body is from the Dragon Models tank crew.
Maybe because of the lighting, the cloth of the garrison cap looks thick, but not so much… I have to fill in the gap in the neck. These days everyday cold in Tokyo….. Not having felt the painting. I want to make a small AFV and place it with this giant Porsche Tiger.

It is the painting after a long absence. I mixed white with the surfacer and lightened it.
Painted in the base color of dark yellow.
Camouflage of the dark green. Color is not good enough whether the white balance of the photograph is not adjusted correctly, maybe.
Assembling and painting photos cannot make a fresh start. I made dark yellow, dark green, and red-brown these three colors. I feel it’s a good color after I coordinate the white balance. I painted it a little brighter than the original bottle and adjusted the brightness later.
(14-March-2014)
Will I say it’s the Oakleaf pattern camouflage? It’s an autumn-version jacket. The base color is Tamiya flat earth, It may be a four-colored constitution, but if I put another color and a good atmosphere, it ends and finishes.
The body color settled down after I performed the washing. It is almost complete.

Dragon Models Porsche Tiger was completed. This tank’s center of gravity is the considerably front side and has a strange shape. It’s a rare tank, and this dragon model kit is also valuable.
When the battle opened, the German army encountered the Russian high-performance tank on the Eastern Front. Germany was approached by the development of the heavy tank, which was more powerful than a mark IV tank. Porsche and Henschel competed in the heavy tank development competition, and Henshel won it.
At least two tanks seemed to be fully deployed. I think these two had no great success. There were around 90 machine parts that were produced halfway switched to Ferdinand and Elephant heavy tank destroyer.
Dragon models had a great job in making this rare tank kit. It’s not a major tank; it was a considerably enthusiastic item. The words are bad, but “are a rejected, failed tank.”
I had light weathering with acrylic resin and pastels. Caterpillar tracks are big and cool, so I wouldn’t say I liked hard weathering.
Regarding wood stock painting, after having painted in sail color (I mixed buff and white of Tamiya enamel), I shaded off some borders, but not so good work and needed more improvement.
There is no regular pattern of camouflage. The pattern on the gun turret is a little more detailed than the body.
The camouflage pattern resembles the Tiger late-type displayed in the Saumur Tank Museum in France, but the primary color is dark yellow because it’s not yet WWII latter period.
On the flat panel, I expressed muddy water gathered and dried. I suppose the modest weathering is enough for the camouflage pattern; this pattern variation has many eye-catch points.
I challenged an Autumn Oak Leaf pattern. Based on Tamiya Flat Earth, I pictured a dot after some wrinkled parts in a dark color.
It’s four colors of camouflage, but salmon pink is unnecessary. This tank crew rank is private.
A back shot is lonely. I think the camouflage pattern finish work is good.
The above crew has red hair, and this captain has blond, not captain, maybe second lieutenant. It’s a detailed point; I made a periscope lens colored dark green and covered gloss clear, and I’m satisfied with it.
That is a perfect expression. This man’s eyes are blue, and the other is light gray. When it’s light gray, it’s hard to give an expression. That should have been darker.
I should have coated the escape hatch more carefully. But the carving was deep, and the shadow of the washing looked good contrast.
The spare caterpillar has old rust, and using the caterpillar has not, some points are shining.
I suppose it’s a better and stronger feeling for a heavy tank’s camouflage pattern to be more significant and bolder.
I suppose the coating on the caterpillar fender was not needed, but there’s the box art picture.
As the tank crew has the mold of the many medals, I took a ceremonial photograph. I felt the medal was too big. This tank crew has many decorations, so skillful and reliable.
The Gun turret is turned to the back, its moving position. It’s a German heavy tank, and some points are the same as the last King Tiger, but with many different processes; it’s happy modeling all around.
